Artist David Aaron Smith's portrait show will feature all new work made in San Francisco, of San Francisco. The work, painted on canvases built from scavenged city material, will be created during a ten-day span. The portraits will be both physical and digital, and will tell the stories of San Franciscans struggling to find their place within the City's shifting landscape.
Re-Placed is presented by Curated State, which promotes Bay Area artists through alternative venues and projects. This show marks the inaugural art residency for Gardenville Station, a unique design/build community fostering craftspeople, artists, designers and creative small businesses in the heart of the Bayview.
